Drilling Unresolved Issues for Method Development and Upcoming Functional Method Engineering

We tried to workout the unresolved issues for method development methodologies like text-book approach, contingency approach, method engineering approach & situational method engineering approach. We found that the problem of selecting a good candidate method is a complex issue till situational method engineering. On the basis of literature survey, we believe that the solution to this can be found not in the structure of a method itself but in the work to be done, the task to be performed by the method. We are proposing upcoming solution (i.e. Functional Method Engineering) of unresolved issues of situational method engineering.
